Luis Tarszensky, Conde de Lipa, traveled from Poland to France and then to Spain, where he was a prominent daguerrotypist. He would become the royal photographer for queen Isabel II. Luis' grandson, Enrique de Mérida, would leave Spain for Argentina, where he became a theater scriptwriter. Luis' great grandson, Luike, would leave Seville for Madrid to become an award-winning editor and poet. A large number of his sons became journalists and artists; the youngest male, Isaac, traveled to California, where he resides now, playing/working with words and images, following on his family's footsteps, and discovering new frontiers. |
